Privacy Policy

Our Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) helps explain our data practices, including what information we collect, information you provide for us, information may need to share, and how you control information which you want to share.

When you use our services, you’re trusting us with your personal information. We understand that it is very important and a big responsibility for us to keep your information safe with us. We are working hard to protect your information safe and put you in control.
This Privacy Policy applies to all of our services. Please also read IDOGO’s Terms and Conditions (“T&C”), which describe the terms under which you use and we provide our services.

Information We Collect

IDOGO must receive or collect some information to operate, provide, improve, understand, customize, support, and market our services, including when you install, access, or use our services.
The types of information we receive and collect depend on how you use our services. We require certain information to deliver our services and without this we will not be able to provide our services to you. For example, you must provide your mobile phone number to create an account to use our services.
Our services have optional features which, if used by you, require us to collect additional information to provide such features. If you choose not to provide the information needed to use a feature, you will be unable to use the feature. For example, you cannot share photos or files to your contact list if you choose not to permit us to access your media device.

Information You Provide

~ Account information
You must provide your mobile phone number and basic information (including a profile name of your choice) to create an IDOGO account. If you don’t provide us with this information, you will not be able to create an account to use our services.
You can add other information to your account, such as a profile picture and “about” information.

~ Messages
We do not retain your messages in the ordinary course of providing our services to you. Instead, your messages are stored on your device and not typically stored on our servers. Once your messages are delivered, they are deleted from our servers. The following scenarios describe circumstances where we may store your messages in the course of delivering them:

– Undelivered message
If a message cannot be delivered immediately (for example, if the recipient is offline), we keep it in encrypted form on our servers for up to 30 days as we try to deliver it. If a message is still undelivered after 30 days, we delete it.

– Media forwarding
When a user forwards media within a message, we store that media temporarily in encrypted form on our servers to aid in more efficient delivery of additional forwards. We need your permission to access your media files when you are about to forward a media file or photos or videos from your device. If you’re not allowing us to access your media, we are not able to access any of your media files in your device.

We offer end-to-end encryption for our services. End-to-end encryption means that your messages are encrypted to protect against us and third parties from reading them.

~ Contacts
After you sign up to IDOGO, your phonebook will automatically synchronize with your device. Means you can see whoever in your phonebook lists which have already using IDOGO. You can create, join, or get added in to groups. You can rename the group, set up profile picture for group and put description for each group as well.

~ Status Information
You may provide us your status if you choose to include one on your account, for example online or busy or at work, or you can also customize your own personal status.

~ Location Data
We can use precise location information from your device, only IF you choose to give us permission to access your location. To set it up, you can go to Settings -> Location -> ON or OFF.

~ Transaction and Payments Data
If you use our payments services, or use our services meant for purchases or other financial transactions, we process additional information about you, including payment account and transaction information. This information needed to complete the transaction process.

~ User support
If you contact our support, any personal data you might share with us is kept only for purposes of researching the issues and to contact you about your case.

Information we may share

Third parties
We work with third party service providers to help us operate, provide, improve, understand, customize, support, market our service and to give you a better service. If you use our services with any of our third-parties, we may receive some information about you from them, and vice versa. Information we received will only be used to give a better service and helps to improve us in developing a better service.
Please note that when you use our third-party services, their own terms and privacy policies will govern your use of their services. For example, our Third-Party Providers send a verification code to your phone number when you register for our services. These providers are bound by their Privacy Policies to safeguard that information.

Transactions and Payments Data
We may share some of your personal data, only which is needed for us to help completing your transactions and payments process. Example: when you do payment using your bank account, then we need to share your bank account information with the bank or legal payment service provider which corporate with us. Information that we shared with our corporate third parties, will be only used to help completing your transactions process.

User report
Other users or third parties may report you as well, just as you can report other users to us about your interactions and your messages with them on our services.

Privacy Policy Updates
We will review and may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes to this Privacy Policy will become effective when we post the revised Privacy Policy on this page. Please do check our website frequently to see any updates or changes to our Privacy Policy.
